VAPE BATTERIES POWER DRONES IN UKRAINE

Another incident involving explosions and battery vapes is a reality, but not more due to poor management. Lithium-ion batteries made from disposable vapes power drones fighting the Ukrainian conflict.

Today, wars depend upon electronic gadgets. They require electricity, and it is recommended to carry electricity via batteries instead of cords during battles. Lithium-ion batteries are the best choice because they allow for more excellent and rechargeable outputs.

The current war has caused an increase in the demand for lithium batteries, and their prices soared.

“Lithium batteries used to cost $1 each but went up five times in price, adding significantly to our costs,” says Maksym Sheremet, the director of “Drone Lab” – the company that uses vape batteries to drive drones. Vapes are not technically prohibited in Ukraine like many prohibitions; many people have stockpiled cigarettes and continued smoking-oke-out. People had a tiny stack of vapes with no use, which needed to be reused.

Vapes are highly unpleasant to recycle because of. The components they contain mean that they are considered electronic waste, but their nicotine content indicates they’re classified as biohazards. Only a handful of facilities are certified to accept both, which means even eco-conscious vapers could have to dispose of them.

For those with electrical skills and a battery requirement, disposable vapes are just a few changes away from becoming a vital battery supply for various devices.

In Drone Labs, 60 volunteers are working on drones, and 30 have been working with drones that get power from electronic cigarettes. The company has a total of 2,000 drone orders scheduled for delivery.

While it’s restricted to war zones, reusing disposable vape parts could be a possibility more often in the future. As electronic devices become more common and components are scarce, recycling waste will become more attractive.
