Asmodus Minikin 150W Acceptable Wires

Here's a list of acceptable wire types in the Minikin V1.5:

  • Alloy 120: Precision Resistance Alloy 120 has been used in thermometer bulbs and other applications that require high temperature coefficient of resistance. It has a temperature coefficient similar to nickel and twice the resistivity. The slope of the temperature resistance curve is almost straight from -70° to 600° C (-94° to 1,112° F).
  • Alloy 52 : Alloy 52 is a controlled expansion alloy, consisting of 51% Nickel, balance Iron
  • Gold
  • Invar36: also known as FeNi36, is a nickel-iron, low-expansion alloy containing 36% nickel. It has a low coefficient of expansion from cryogenic temperatures to about 260℃.
  • Kanthal A1 APM (Non-TC, please see note below): Kanthal APM is an advanced powder-metallurgical, dispersion-strengthened, ferritic iron-chromium-aluminium alloy (FeCrAl alloy) for use at temperatures up to 1425°C (2600°F). The alloy is characterized by exceptionally good form stability and oxidation resistance. Kanthal APM has low tendency to ageing and low resistance change. It has excellent surface oxide properties, which gives good protection in corrosive atmospheres as well as in atmospheres with high carbon potential, and no scaling.(Note this is not the same as Regular Kanthal)
  • Kanthal AA EAF {Non-TC, please see note below): Or Kanthal AF is a ferritic iron-chromium-aluminium alloy (FeCrAl alloy) for use at temperatures up to 1300°C (2370°F). The alloy is characterized by excellent oxidation resistance and very good form stability resulting in long element life.(Note this is not the same as Regular Kanthal)
  • Kanthal D (Non-TC, please see note below): Kanthal D is a ferritic iron-chromium-aluminium alloy (FeCrAl alloy) for use at temperatures up to 1300°C (2370°F). The alloy is characterized by high resistivity and good oxidation resistance. (Note this is not the same as Regular Kanthal)


    In regards to Kanthal A1 APM , Kanthal AA EAF , and Kanthal D

    The Temperature Control function will not work for these modes.

    Those wires are meant to run at a much higher temperature than the device or any other vaping device can handle to accurately scale for temperature control.

    • Ni200: Nickel 200 alloy is a commercially pure nickel that exhibits good corrosion resistance. it is ferromagnetic and has relatively low electrical resistivity.
    • NiFe30: An iron–nickel alloy or nickel–iron alloy, abbreviated FeNi or NiFe, is a group of alloys that mostly consist of the elements nickel (Ni) and iron (Fe).
    • Nilo36: a binary nickel-iron alloy containing 36% nickel.
    • Nichrome
    • Nickel DH: Nickel DH is a nickel alloy (Ni alloy) with a minimum nickel content of 99.2 % suitable for use at temperatures up to 600°C (1100°F).
    • Pernif36: also known as Alloy 36 is a 36% nickel-iron alloy that exhibits a near zero rate of thermal expansion which is roughly one tenth the expansion rate of carbon steel at temperatures from around -100°C up to 200°C.
    • SS 304: Alloy 304 a T-300 series stainless steel austenitic, which has a minimum of 18% chromium and 8% nickel. Type 304 has a maximum carbon of 0.07%.
    • SS 316: Alloy 316 is molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel. The higher nickel and molybdenum content in this grade allows it to demonstrate better overall corrosion resistant properties than 304, especially with regard to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments.
    • SS 316L: Alloy 316L is the lower carbon version of 316 and is immune from sensitization
    • SS 317L: Alloy 317L is a molybdenum containing, low carbon austenitic stainless steel with increased additions of chromium, nickel, and molybdenum for better corrosion resistance and increased resistance to chemical attack for sulfurous, acetic, formic, citric, and tartaric acids.
    • SS 430: Grade 430 is a ferritic, straight chromium, non-hardenable grade, combining good corrosion resistance and formability characteristics with useful mechanical properties.
    • Silver
    • Titanium: also know as (Ti)

    *Kanthal wire Found in Pre-made coils unless specifically stated to be one of these heating elements will not properly Emit Temperature Regulation. you must have a Kanthal element as stated above as they have different properties.

    *Please make sure you are using the Listed Heating Elements above for accurate Temperature Regulation. These modes are only compatible with the specified heating element property only.

    The Minikin V1.5 has structural improvements (to the body itself) that create a firmer, higher quality body that creates a heavy-duty feel as well as providing extra solidity and stability to the mod. The Minikin V1.5 retains the full bodied removeable battery door, which has truly has become quite the crowd favorite, but partnered with the Minikin V1.5's upgraded body structure, the door fits tight as a glove yet retains its ability to swap out batteries with maximized simplicity. A mini USB port has been implemented to grant the capability to charge via USB if preferred by the user.

    The Minikin 1.5 also features improvements in its functionality with an updated screen that displays the individual charge of each battery that is being used by the mod. This update shows the user if a battery is being used more than another. This can happen if batteries have not been "married" (purchased together and used together solely) but this new technology, you can quickly view and resolve the situation. The Minikin V1.5 also allows the user to manually adjust the resistance that is read from the atomizes with ease. The V1.5 also features newly implemented TCR and TFR options to further enhance its performance. With TCR (Temperature Coefficient of Resistance) you are able to manually adjust the resistance that is read with your particular coil or build so you will always hit at your desired resistance depending on your build. With TFR (Temperature Factor of Resistivity) mode the Minikin V1.5 permits the user to use hybrid builds that have a mix of wire types safely and can be adjusted based on user preference. Both TCR and TFR functions have 5 memory storage modes each to quickly switch between different settings with a few clicks through the menu.
