PRIVATE COMPANIES FOLLOW USPS VAPE MAIL BAN

After the passage of the Omnibus Stimulus Bill and the subsequent announcement that USPS would not carry vape products, many people were wondering whether private shipping firms were going to stop accepting vapor products, too. After a while has passed, large shipping companies that provide services for consumer goods have stated they will no longer take vape products.

USPS will have until April 27, 2021, or until it is no longer able to ship the vapor products. They may cease accepting the vapor products before the date of expiration.

FedEx has announced that it will not accept vapor-based products beginning March 1, 2021.

UPS announced that it “will not transport vaping products to, from, or within the United States due to the increased complexity to ship those products.” From April 5, 2021, UPS will no longer deliver vape-related products.

In the end, this could make it difficult for online retailers as well as small-scale companies that aren’t moving enough of their products to justify special private shipping companies. Fedex, UPS, and USPS were the most cost-effective shipping options available to customers. The decision to cease shipping will impact many consumers and retailers that are brick and mortar and on the internet.
